Drawing on visits to northern Israel with the Exigent Foundation and referencing briefings from Israeli officials and analysts, Vuong describes Hezbollah’s rocket fire since October 7, the displacement of tens of thousands of Israelis, and the discovery of tunnels and weapons caches embedded in Lebanese civilian areas. He frames Hezbollah as both an Iranian proxy and a destabilizing political actor within Lebanon’s sectarian system. The article calls on the international community to enforce UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and to support efforts that would limit Hezbollah’s military and political influence.
